Prerequisites
All participants must complete the following prerequisites. All required forms are linked below and can also be found on the Forms & Documents page.
Float Test: This in-the-water task requires you, under the supervision of a certified lifeguard, to tread water in clothing for 10 minutes and don a personal flotation device in the water. You may do this at the Bainbridge Aquatic Center or other supervised pool. Print the Float Test Form, or pick one up at the Aquatic Center, and have a certified lifeguard complete the form. You will give the signed form to the Learn to Row instructor at the first class.
USRowing Waiver: Print out the USRowing Waiver or pick one up at the boathouse and complete it, sign it, and return it to the Learn to Row instructor by the first class.
Physical Abilities: You must be able to lift 35 lbs. overhead (with assistance of your teammates) and walk up to 50 yards with the boat on your shoulder.
