Bainbridge Island Rowing

Bainbridge Island Rowing (BIR) changes lives through the sport of rowing.

Bainbridge Island Rowing builds community through rowing and serves the West Sound region.  BIR supports recreational, fitness and competitive rowing goals for members by providing outstanding coaching, equipment, and facilities in a welcoming, collaborative, and respectful environment.

BIR is fully committed to creating a welcoming environment that includes and attracts community members and employees with diverse backgrounds, heritage, and experiences. We share our skills, experience, and expertise so that all can realize their potential. All are welcome.

Rowing is a lifetime sport that is accessible to everyone. It develops strength, flexibility, and fitness for junior and adult rowers.

We challenge ourselves, set goals, and strive to achieve them. Together we work towards harmony, balance, and rhythm in our boats and in our organization.

We strive for excellence in programs, performance, coaching, safety, and administration. We respect and honor our members, volunteers, coaches, and staff.

We provide a meaningful connection to the natural environment in people’s daily lives and are inspired to stewards these resources in a way that honors the example set by the Suquamish People.
