BIR offers morning, evening, and Saturday programs for Masters rowers.
SPRING 2020 BIR MASTERS PROGRAM SESSIONS
Feb. 22 – June 26
Competitive Practice
These sessions are open to masters rowers of all ages who would like a fast-paced row geared at increasing the endurance needed for regattas. These sessions are a good fit for you if you have competitive drive and commitment to becoming a top-level rower. Race lineups will be given priority when possible while coxing or launch driving volunteers will be utilized as needed on a rotational basis.
Prerequisites: One full year of novice rowing or coach approval. Ability to hold a stroke rate of 28.
Morning Competitive Sweep
Monday/Wednesday: 6:00-7:30am

Fitness Practice
These fitness-based sessions are open to masters of all levels, including competitive rowers wishing to improve their technique. Emphasis will be on coach feedback, drills and video review. Race lineups will be honored when possible, but priority will be given boats that promote the greatest overall group improvement. Coxing or launch driving volunteers will be utilized as needed on a rotational basis.
Prerequisites: Learn-to-Row course completion or coach approval.
