Ta dah. The brand new Bainbridge Island Rowing Spiritwear store has officially launched. The store offers a much wider selection of products to meet rowers’ and fans’ requests. Plus, the Official Uniform gear sold in the store is specifically designed for rowing and so will more effectively stand up to the elements and the rigors of the sport. Even better, if you buy Spiritwear during Spirit Weeks, Bainbridge Island Rowing gets a cut of the proceeds and you will pay zip for shipping.
So it will be like you’re showing your team colors twice: Once in blue and maize and once in green.
The BIR-labeled merch is brought to you by San Diego-based rowing gear specialists Sew Sporty. All of its products are manufactured in the USA.
When you go to the BIR page on the Sew Sporty website, look for the Spiritwear section, which includes jackets, sweatshirts, T-shirts, hats, a drawstring bag, and pogies (those little oar mitts that keep your hands warm). If you buy any of these items between now and February 13, they will be shipped in a bulk order to BIR and then distributed to you, by us. Twenty percent of proceeds from your purchase will go to BIR.
What happens to that money? It will be applied to the costs of regatta participation for the Juniors Rowing Program. The goal is to reduce participation costs for all junior athletes and their families. That’s just one way BIR is working to advance the mission of making rowing accessible to all in Kitsap County and the West Sound.
You will also find Official Uniform Apparel on the site. The Uniform Apparel comes in official uniform colors emblazoned with the BIR logo. Choose from unisex tech jackets, nylon vests, super long parkas, a long sleeve tech shirt, and two sizes of travel bags.
BIR will offer another two Spirit Weeks in the fall. But don’t wait until then. We’ve got spirit: Show you do too right now and help get all rowers out onto the water. (Make sure to select free shipping at checkout.)
