These open house opportunities not only get our Island neighbors into the boathouse, they also serve as fundraisers for our scholarship fund. What better reason to throw a party than to help keep rowing accessible?

Chilly Hilly Finish Line Bake Sale
Sunday, Feb 22nd | 10:00AM – 3:00PM
The boathouse serves as the official finish line warming station for Chilly Hilly riders. BIR will sell baked goods & coffee with all proceeds going to our scholarship fund.
How can you get involved?
- Donate your baked goods for our sale table! Bring us your chocolate chips, your peanut butter blossoms, your banana muffins. SIGN UP HERE

July 4th Snack Shack
Saturday, July 4th | 10:00AM – 4:00PM
The boathouse kitchen turns into a full fledged Snack Shack serving the Waterfront Park beer garden on the lawn and an indoor family fun zone in the Great Room. Lend your culinary expertise on the grill, man the popcorn machine, or work the till for a quick shift this July 4th.
Soccer Watch Parties

Watch the big game on our big screen! BIR presents a series of World Cup viewing parties in collaboration with our island neighbors. More details coming soon!
Brown Bear Regatta
Sunday, Sept 27th | 7:00AM – 3:00PM
BIR hosts a number of regional clubs for a day of friendly competition to kick off the fall head race season. Expect a full scale watch party in the Great Room featuring live drone footage from Eagle Harbor. This event is a great place to connect with our regional rowing community and see what an all ages regatta is all about. Racing begins at 9am and wraps around 2pm with an awards ceremony.
Bainbridge Island Oktoberfest
Saturday, Oct 3rd | 12:00PM – 8:00PM
BIR is proud to partner with BIDA (Bainbridge Island Downtown Association) and BER (Bainbridge Events) on this new island tradition. Featuring local businesses serving up authentic German fare and plenty of live entertainment throughout the day, this all ages event is more than a fundraiser—it’s a community celebration!
