BIR Juniors – Fall Season

Junior Fall Crew 2025 Coming Soon

We’re looking forward to a fun and inspiring season both on and off the water!

See below for details about the season

Middle School Fall Program Info

Parent and Rower Meeting: Saturday, September 13th, 11:30am (after practice)
Dates: September 13th-October 22nd, 2025
Practice Times: Mon and Wed 4:00-6:00pm, Sat 9:30-11:30am
Coach: Kristen Gagnon

Program Cost: $907 for program fees and $42 for BIR dues

Additional Cost: $25 for USRowing membership ($20 for existing members) All rowers must have a valid US Rowing Membership (good for 365 days).

The middle school program is designed as a positive and inspiring introduction to the sport of rowing for any and all 7th and 8th graders (coed).  We employ a ground-up approach for the brand new athlete that aims to build their knowledge of equipment and safe practices, mechanics of the stroke and the principles of teamwork.  For the ‘rowing-curious’, our first week focuses on familiarization and fundamentals: starting on land and then moving into the stable ‘barge’ on the water. Registration will be capped at 20 participants.

2025 Fall Key Dates:

  • September 13th – First day of fall season
  • September 13th, 11:30am – Parent and Rower Meeting (after the first practice)
  • September 28th – Brown Bear Regatta, Bainbridge Island, WA

.

Middle School Registration is open
