Friends and family are welcome to come watch the action and join in on the fun. We will have a watch party in the great room where we will have live drone coverage, activities for kids, coffee/tea available and overall a good time to be had.

Visiting Crews

Taking the Ferry: If you are needing to ferry, you will want to catch the earliest one on Sunday. That looks to be at 6:10am. This will get you to the boathouse around 6:45/7am.

  • Racing begins at 9am
  • Our boathouse is a 10 minute walk from the ferry terminal if you want to walk on. We also recommend carpooling as parking can be limited around the boathouse.

Parking Options:

  • Option 1: There is public parking around the boathouse (image below). Aim for a spot along Brien Dr or Bjune Dr in front of Waterfront Park. With the amount of rowers, these spots will fill up.
  • Option 2: Ferry terminal parking lots. These are right by the ferry and are pay to park. It’s a short walk to the boathouse.

Packing List:

  • Each club to bring the coxswains needed for racing + coxswain equipment (cox boxes)
    • Coach Coxswain meeting morning of at 7:45AM in the great room
  • BIR is providing almost all rowing equipment, however, we ask that each club bring 1 tent (10×10) for your rowers to put their personal belongings in if you need. We will have a sign for each club to house their tent.
  • Dress for the weather – please bring layers, sunscreen, hats, anything that will keep you comfortable.
    • Please bring extra clothes and a separate pair of shoes that won’t be going into the water
  • Shoes that can get wet – we beach launch!
    • Croc/Chacos/Teva type shoes work best – the beach is rocky
  • Refillable water bottle

Food Provided:

  • We will have light breakfast (ex. sweet breads, bagels, eggs, cheese, fruit, etc.) available in the morning
  • Lunch will be provided by Grillipinos – local and BIR parent owned!
