Next Sunday, October 14, the Bainbridge Island Rowing juniors will launch into fall with the first regatta of the 2018-19 season. The Head of the Snohomish Regatta happens in Everett at Langus Riverfront Park early, starting at 7 a.m.
There are three flights in the regatta. Flight 1 features Varsity, JV, and 1st Novice Eights. Flight 2 will include 3V Eights, Varsity Four, Varsity Quad, and JV 4+. And Flight 3 is for 2nd+ Novice Eights, U-17 Eights, and Novice 4x+.
All races will be with the outgoing tide; low tide is at 3:35 p.m. The final races start at 12:45 p.m.
There will be food. Brunch and a BBQ lunch are being served to rowers from 9 to 2.
