Video Recording: Supporting the Transgender Student Athlete Presentation and Discussion

On November 9th, 2021, BIR welcomed Dr. Diana Currie, who presented an information session and discussion: Supporting the Transgender Student Athlete. Those fortunate enough to have joined us can attest to the value of this topic, especially in light of Dr. Currie’s in-depth knowledge of the the exceptional and sometimes unique struggles facing transgender youths and how, as a community, we can best provide support.

Dr. Diana Currie received an Albert Schweitzer Fellowship in pediatric and adolescent gynecology at Harvard University and has been treating gender non-conforming and transgender patients for over 20 years. She is a faculty member of the Providence St. Peter FamilyMedicine, adjunct faculty for UW Medical School department of Ob/Gyn, and WA Governor appointee to the Washington State Medical Commission.
