BIR Junior Summer Rowing Programs

Two great ways to join us out on the water this summer!

Summer Crew

Open to all Kitsap County residents entering grades 9-12

2-week summer sessions for returning rowers who have completed a regular spring season rowing.

Cost: $350 per 2-week session

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7-9am

Available sessions:

Session 1: June 24 – July 5th (with no rowing on the 4th)

Session 2: July 8th – July 19th

Session 3: July 22 – Aug 2

Try Rowing Camp

Open to all Kitsap County residents rising 8th graders -12th grade.

This is for those who have never been in a rowing shell.

Each day will include 2 sessions on the water rows with addition instruction on rowing technique using rowing machines and video review. There will be a lunch break and rowers should bring a sack lunch.

Cost: $350 per session

Schedule: Monday- Thursday: 11:30am to 3:30pm

Available sessions:

Session 1: June 24 – 27

Session 2: July 8 – 11

Session 3: July 22 – 25

Financial Assistance:

BIR is committed to making rowing available to all members of our Kitsap County community and financial assistance is available to those with demonstrated need. While funds are provided entirely by BIR (thank you to our many generous donors!), financial evaluations are done anonymously via Helpline House. Learn more here.
