BIR believes wholeheartedly that Rowing Changes Lives. BIR strives to promote all facets of the sport of rowing to inspire individuals to new heights of personal achievement and develop winning teams. The club remains committed to strengthening our community and building valuable life skills through educational programs and participation in rowing competitions.
Founded in 2001 by a handful of high school students and adult rowers, BIR has grown to serve over 200 rowers in our local area each year. Our Juniors and Masters programs offer year-round opportunities to participate in our vibrant rowing community. BIR is committed to giving every individual with an interest in rowing the opportunity to participate, regardless of whether they are novice or experienced, young or old.
